Trying out something different today, organic gluten-free cereal! (if this idea is unsuccessful, expect less of these type of posts! :P)

I hate when cereal boxes show you one thing, and then you see another:

Nature's Path Crunchy Vanilla Sunrise Cereal

I love Nature's Path, however with this cereal I am not disappointed, but I am not impressed either.

First off, if you take a look at the pictures, you see will see a good mix of Corn, Rice, Flax, Quinoa, Buckwheat & Amaranth. However, it appears that when Nature's Path change the look on their boxes, they also change their formula. Mines was about 70% cornmeal, 30% everything else.

Because mines was 70% cornmeal, the cereal DID taste like vanilla but it had a cornmeal aftertaste. If you take a long time with your cereal, slowly the vanilla transfers onto the milk, and the cereal mostly take like cornmeal.

Now if you like the taste of corn, that's fine. But I was expecting more flavors particularly the flax and amaranth, but those flavors were lost in the mix.

This product IS however 100% organic except for natural vanilla flavor, sea salt, and tocopherols (natural vitamin E). Compare to other cereals, it is low in calories (110), contains no cholesterol, and is high in fiber (12% of your daily values). However, because it is organic with very little added to it, it is low in nutrition compare to other non-organic cereals such as special K. It only has 4% iron (surprisingly, Vitamin E is not listed as a nutrition even though it is listed as an ingredient).

Other pros of the cereal is that it contains 0.15g of Omega 3 per serving, which is 11% of the recommended daily value of 1.3g

It is also gluten-free for those who can't consume gluten as well as certified USDA organic. My cereal box expired Nov 02 2012.

The box says that Nature's Path change their boxes by making their packages smaller to reduce 10% of their impact on the planet by saving on water, energy and paperboard. However, I am also 100% convinced that their also change their formula to include more of the cheaper cornmeal and include less of the more expensive ingredients.

I've used this little perk for about two years now and I think most people don't know about it. Every first weekend of the month, you can get free basic admission to a ton of museums across the country (including the Met and the Whitney in the city). The museums rotate every once in a while and they've had places like the Bronx Zoo and the Intrepid in the past. You can get in for free as long as you have a BoA credit/debit card. And yes, these places will check your ID to make sure it's your card.

This is how it looks like on a 5'2" average girl. I paired the look with black leggings and black flats for a different look. The dress reached slightly pass my knees:

I saw this at Victoria's Secret for roughly $80.
Website Description:
Tier’s the thing: your quest for the perfect strapless dress stops here. Our lacy little mini is ready for its moment in the sun, with its sexy shoulder-baring silhouette, sweet ruffles and sky-high hem. For day or play, beach or boardwalk, this fun-loving style is an absolute essential.
  • Textured lace is supersoft
  • Ruffle neckline and hem
  • Fully lined
  • Slim fit; 17” from waist
  • Hand wash. Line dry.
  • Imported nylon/spandex
on the supermodel:

^--- notice how the dress ends at a certain length exposing lace
on me:

^--- dress and lace ends at the same time, no "exposing lace" like the picture of the supermodel. I know that often times promotional images are taken months in advance, and clothing change when it goes into production. It was probably easier for the manufacturer to have the lace and the underdress end at the same time.

My measurements: 35-28-35

Review:
I was disappointed that it did not include a belt. I hate when companies include belts in pictures because unless it comes with the exact detachable belt, I then have to hunt down stores to find a replica.

the dress is also long and hugs your curve, my 35 inch hips looked ENORMOUS, and unless you have the slimmest wait, any tummy (or the dreaded food baby after dinner) will make you slightly pregnant.

I like the dress, but I love the dress on the supermodel, just not too much on me. Maybe if I loss 10 pounds so that my ratios will be better, I will resemble more the proportions on a supermodel. Which brings me another thought, if these clothes are for the average girl, shouldn't user submit images of what they look like in them?

I don't think so. I mean only if there's some reason you're never satisfied with drugstore mascara. Mascara is almost like foundation with how personal preferences can be; I have had smudge problems with a lot of drugstore and high end alike, and am willing to pay for something that doesn't smudge, but other people have great success with brands like Maybelline Full 'n Soft.

Plus mascaras are something you have to throw away so much more frequently than other make up. It isn't worth it for me to spend that much money on mascara (and we all know they can get pretty pricey!)

The only reason I buy a certain more expensive mascara (Tarte's Lights, Camera, Lashes for example) is because everything else I've ever used (high-end or drugstore) has irritated my eyes. For me, it's worth it. It's the difference between my eyes watering/getting a wicked migraine and just having pretty lashes. However, mascaras typically have a 6 months expiration period (yes! 6 months! have you thrown out your old mascara yet?)

I know some people swear it's worth it, and some people swear it isn't. People can't even come up with a definition of "better mascara" because everyone have different needs. My advice has always been try it for yourself.
