This is a manicure tutorial designed by OPI to mimic the color burst of fireworks.
You can use any red, white and blue nail polish you like. Just be sure to include your disposable eyeshadow wand. A base coat will strengthen your nails and prevent staining often caused by long term polish use. A top coat will ensure your mani lasts. The color recommended by OPI are from the Euro Centrale collection (My Vampire is Buff, My Paprika Is Hotter Than Yours, and I Saw...You Saw...We Saw...Warsaw.). The design is freestyle done with the wand.

Allure's lastest magazine issue has Zoe Saldana on the cover, and this lovely page on how to create showstopper eyes.

This smokey blue eye was created by makeup artist Linda Cantello for the Giogio Armani show.

The key to getting a precise line is to make one swift, continuous stroke - don't pause, or it will look jagged. Cantello achieved this soft slate hue by blending both gray and blue powders together. A deep gray shadow in the crease creates a slightly smokey effect.

How to Create Showstopper Eyes

1. Using a soft gray pencil or chubby shadow stick, draw a thick line along the crease, winging it past the outer corners. Smudge the line with your finger to make it soft.

2. Sweep gray-blue powder all over the upper lids, then top the pencil the crease with a slightly darker shade of gray shadow for emphasis.

3. Trace the upper lashes with a black felt-tip linger, closely following your natural lash line. With a sky blue pencil, stack a thicker line directly above the black.

and you're all set!

There is a new magazine out called "GLAM Belleza Latina" (from the publishers of Glamour Magazine) It is $4.99 for 90 page and on the cover of the spring 2013 issue is Jennifer Lopez. Anyways, inside its a 2 page spread on how to get Shakira's hairstyle.

Remember to click on the images to make them bigger!

IF YOUR HAIR IS NATURALLY WAVY

If your hair is naturally wavy, you don't need to do all of this. Just blow-dry wet hair using a diffuser and untangle it with a wide-tooth comb, and let it bounce back into its original pattern.

IF YOUR HAIR IS NATURALLY STRAIGHT

then this tutorial is for you!

The steps are:

Be sure to click on image to expand

1.  Prep hair by applyinh shine serum from root to tip. Then divide head into four sections

2.  For back sections: Wind small pieces around a 1/2 inch curling iron.

3.  Twist the hair as you wrap it, leaving the tips straight for an undone feel.

4.  For the front sections: Curl the first piece going clockwise.

Be sure to click on image to expand

5.  Switch to the counter-clockwise on the next; its the trick to natural waves.

6.  Repeat steps 4 & 5, alternating the direction of each curl as you go.

7.  Finish up the final face-framing curl. Be extra careful - no hairline burns!

8.  For hold, spritz hairspray or scrunch on mousse, then finger-comb.

I also made an instagram/pinterest for your gals out there:

If you would like to share this image, copy this to your site, it is OKAY to hotlink:
<img src="http://i.imgur.com/2rclj.jpg">

STEPS:
1. Apply Your Nailpolish. Wait until the edges are semi-dry.
2. Take a toothpick and start to peel the dry nailpolish paint, starting on one edge.
3. Work all the way around. Its better when the paint is dryer and not fresher, as it is easier to peel. You may dip your toothpick in nailpolish remover for all stubborn areas.
4. Apply hand cream to the areas you peeled off. You want your skin to stay moisturized
5. Enjoy your gorgeous looking hands!
